NHS player qualifies |
Newberg High School
student Ariel Snyder qualified recently for a regional tournament as
a member of the 15-and-under Tualatin Hills United Soccer Club team,
the Neon.
The leading scorer of the Newberg girls varsity soccer team
last fall, Snyder started as a midfielder/forward for the Neon,
which won the 15-and-under Oregon championship May 5 with a 2-0 win
against the Lake Oswego Dynasty at the Tualatin Hills Recreation
Center.
Snyder, who will be a sophomore at NHS this fall, also played on
the same team last season that won the 14-and-under state
championship team. That team eventually lost to the national
championship team by a goal in pool play in the regionals. |
