   Hitless through four innings and trailing Corban College 2-0, George Fox needed a spark in a rare midweek, non-conference match up Wednesday at Morse Field.   Catcher Brent Trask woke the slumbering Bruin offense with a two-run shot to left field in the bottom of the fifth inning, but that was just the beginning of the dramatic comeback.   After surrendering three runs in the top of the seventh to fall behind 5-4, George Fox rallied for four runs — all with two outs — and held on for a 10-7 victory.


Bruins take 2 of 3 from Pacific

  It was all or nothing for George Fox in a three-game series versus Pacific at Morse Field.   The Bruins were good for 27 hits in topping the Boxers 8-1 and 10-0 on Saturday, but couldn’t figure out lefty Jeff Bethke in a 7-4 loss on Sunday.

George Fox splits games on Sunday to snap 10-game skid

   After three tough losses to start the weekend, George Fox ended its 10-game losing streak with a 9-1 win Sunday over Puget Sound at Morse Field.   Bethany Chriss led the charge, going 3-for-4 with a double, home run and four RBIs as George Fox picked up its first Northwest Conference victory.

   Junior Scott Barnett went 3-0 at No. 1 singles, but George Fox dropped two of three dual matches over the weekend.   Barnett topped Willamette’s Michael Baumgartner in three sets, but it was the only point the Bruins earned in an 8-1 loss to the Bearcats on Friday in Salem.
