If you happened to wander by the Newberg Public Library on May 29, 2012, you may have noticed a couple of dozen or more people sitting adjacent to Hancock Street reading all manner of books, newspapers and magazines.
While we were discouraged last week about Oregon Senate President Peter Courtney’s decision to not forward a package of gun control bills onto the Senate floor, we understand that he didn’t have the votes to get this important legislation passed and instead will return the bills to committee in an attempt to produce some kind of compromise.
