Boquist files knife bill to ‘broaden the discussion’ on gun control

Proposal, modeled off Japanese legislation, intended to highlight the ineffectiveness of firearms bans

Boquist
   State Sen. Brian Boquist (R-Dallas), whose district covers Dundee and most of Yamhill County, is out to change the focus of the state’s gun-control/gun-violence discussion with the filing of a bill that would enact mandatory background checks for the purchase of knives and require the creation of a statewide knife registry.
