Garrett Rider was one of four wrestlers to stake Newberg to an early lead in its match against Oregon City during the Earl Gillis Tournament last weekend.
After rallying to beat McKay 48-30 at home on Jan. 10, Newberg didn’t get the results it was hoping for placing seventh at its own Earl Gillis tournament the following day, but head coach Neil Russo believes his team is on the right path.
