Volunteers from 2nd Street Community Church sort food donated during a past Feed the Need event in Newberg.
Jon Maroni noticed something interesting last fall as he scoured Newberg, collecting nonperishable food for the Feed the Need food drive: He got more donations from the lower income part of Newberg’s south side than from a wealthier area north of Highway 99W.
