Roman Valdivia of Field Turf finishes up work on the field at Newberg High School on Monday. The $500,000 field will officially be dedicated during a halftime ceremony Friday evening during the Tigers’ game against Glencoe. The field was first used by the girls soccer team in its match against Lincoln on Tuesday. The boys team plays Reynolds on Thursday on the new pitch.
It’s been several years in the making, but the new synthetic turf field has been installed at Newberg High School and will be dedicated during halftime of the Tigers’ home football game versus Glencoe on Friday.
