Walkers on the public trail at North Valley Friends Church pass a peace pole with a Spanish translation of “May peace prevail on earth.” The phrase is repeated on two other sides of the pole, in two different languages. A peace-related quotation graces the final side.
“I’m sorry,” read the blue fabric square hanging from the clothesline.
“I’m so sad my dog just died,” read another.
