New GFU exhibit pushes boundaries

Sculptor explores dreamscape, infuses animal forms with ‘humanness’

In addition to the skeletal figures, artist Christopher Wagner frequently carves bald men with various expressions and in different poses. He leaves them purposefully nondescript — and often with ambiguous hand gestures — so the viewer can interpret them more freely.
   A new installation now on display at the George Fox University Minthorne Gallery seeks to blur the lines between humans and animals, and dreaming and wakefulness.
