Mitch Lemos breaks off one of his five carries of 20 yards or more during Newberg’s 76-35 loss to Tigard Friday night at Loran Douglas Field. Lemos rushed for 334 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries for an average of 17.5 yards per rush.
Newberg piled up 426 yards rushing, including what could be a school-record 334 from fullback Mitch Lemos, versus Tigard, but the visitors’ offense was even stronger as the host Tigers fell 76-35 Friday night at Loran Douglas Field.
