   Oct. 8, 2012, is a day Mauri Ramirez will never forget. It’s the day she and the family of Alex Gastelum Salinas were unable to do anything but watch as the 1-year-old boy died in their arms in an emergency room at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland.
