Grant makes technology available to vineyards

New technology —
Unlike air blast sprayers currently in use in vineyards around the county, recycling tunnel sprayers apply pesticides within a pair of protective tunnels.
   Backed by a $75,000 grant from the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service, the Yamhill Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is reaching out to area vineyard owners with a new pesticide applicator that has the potential to improve air and water quality in Yamhill County.
