Photo By: Gary AllenWaiting for sun — Two new concrete ping-pong tables sit on the sun deck at the Chehalem Aquatic Center, thanks to funding from Newberg’s Earlybird Rotary Club. Volunteer Diana Kay Kessler painted the waterfall backdrop, along with Newberg High School student Abby Wogenrich. The additions are part of a larger facelift for the center.
The 43-year-old Chehalem Aquatic Center will soon have 36 new, energy-efficient lights in its pool area.
