Ashley Wineland, an incoming George Fox University student, and her mother, Tammy Whitmen, of Independence, were shopping at Janis Jewelry and Gifts Thursday. The store was the target of a cash mob by the Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce in an effort to increase sales.
Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce members swarmed Janis Jewelry and Gifts July 19 in the first Newberg-area cash mob.
