Sasha Perez’s best score in the air rifle competition at the Junior Olympics was a 593, seven points less than perfect and, with her other scores, good for third June 29 at the competition in Alabama. She fell just short of the 598 needed to qualify for the London Olympics.
A Newberg girl is hitting her mark, as she recently finished third in the nation at the Junior Olympics for air rifle shooters under the age of 18.
