Beavers getting the blame for flooding

Public safety — County official says that trash, not beavers, is responsible for flooding along West Chehalem Creek in Newberg

West Chehalem Creek is swollen by recent heavy rains as well as a backup caused by beaver dams along the tributary of the Willamette River.
   A beaver dam that was threatening a city street and adjoining properties in 2010 still hasn’t been removed and the recent rains brought the water within feet of the roadway.
