Crews moved the McKern House in August 2007 from its former location near the intersection of Wilsonville Road and Highway 219. The barn that adjoined the home was quite a spectacle when it was moved via Highway 219 to its new home on Chehalem Park and Recreation District land adjacent to the Orchard Lair development and Sportsman Airpark.
The Newberg-Dundee Police Department is still reviewing evidence as detectives investigate a fire that completely consumed the 138-year-old historic McKern House.
