New CCC parking lot hides its true talent

Public spaces — Rock pad beneath cement pavers was designed to retain then slowly release rainwater from the large space

Instead of overwhelming the storm drains, the system at the CCC will allow water to gradually seep into the ground.
   The newly constructed parking lot at the Chehalem Cultural Center is an environmentally friendly “green” design, but casual observers would be forgiven for failing to notice it: the technology is all underground.
