Monday’s Newberg City Council meeting turned into a commentary on state land use laws, property rights and the 14th Amendment as nearly every member of the council voiced sadness over having to rescind an annexation and development agreement for a Newberg-area property and several admonished the room full of Boy Scouts to fight for the people’s rights in the world of tomorrow.
