Kwanzaa: Bridging the gap between Christmas, New Year

Holiday tradition — Created in the mid-1960s with the purpose of rediscovering African-American roots

   While most people have a week to recuperate between Christmas and New Year’s celebrations, those celebrating Kwanzaa started Monday and will continue until Sunday.
