Housing Authority of Yamhill County’s plan to build high-density public housing on a Meridian Street property currently the site of a historic home cleared its first hurdle Wednesday night, when the Newberg Planning Commission unanimously approved the organization’s request to rezone the property from R-1 (low-density residential) to R-3 (high-density residential).
