Mortgage broker jailed for fraud

Real estate crimes — Conviction is first for state task force; majority of victims Hispanic immigrants

   SALEM — Calling it a victory in the larger fight against the foreclosure crisis, state Attorney General John Kroger announced Friday the conviction for fraud of a Salem mortgage broker, whose victims included residents of Yamhill County.
