Council reaffirms ‘08 daytime curfew rejection

City government — New truancy fine created by the school district renews discussion of the issue at city council

   While the Newberg School District board of directors was voting March 15 to fine the parents of truants, the Newberg City Council was taking a stance that may seem opposed: reaffirming their 2008 decision to not install a daytime curfew.
