For one GFU student, Newberg is worlds away from home

Student from the farthest reaches of Alaska enrolls at George Fox

In her senior year of high school, some friends in Young Life chipped in to fly Jennifer Immingan to the Northwest to tour colleges and universities. She chose George Fox University and was able to attend through Gates Millennium Scholars Program. The native of Savoonga, Alaska, is studying psychology, sociology and art. She plans to earn a master’s degree and go into counseling or art therapy.
   Jennifer Immingan came a long way to go to George Fox University. She flew thousands of miles over land and sea.
