Cub Scouts round up
Cub Scout Pack 265 is holding a Fall Join night at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday at the Memorial Park scout house. This is for boys from
first- through fifth-grade. The cost is $10 per calendar year;
participation fee for this year will be prorated. Refreshments will

The Chehalem Adult Enrichment Center will offer a foot clinic from

The Chehalem Cultural Center is looking for volunteers to help
organize a Halloween party, a Scarecrow Festival and some Christmas

Tips to lead a healthier life seminar
“Take Charge of Your Health: Understanding Childhood Obesity” is
the subject of a community presentation by local health care
experts. The event will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today
(Wednesday) in the Providence Newberg Medical Center conference

Swim lessons slated
The Chehalem Aquatic Center is enrolling children for fall swim
lessons that begin the week of Sept. 24. The format is twice a week
for three weeks (small group, maximum three children) or twice a
week for six weeks (regular group, maximum six children). They also
accommodate private swim lesson requests. Daytime and evening
classes are available Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
Program cost is $49 or more. All skill levels and ages 12 months to
adult. Preregistration is required in person at 1802 Haworth St., by
