Much-needed donation helps keep Faith in Action afloat

   The new fiscal year, which kicked in back in July, wasn’t especially kind to Faith in Action.   The volunteer organization aids adults, children and their families in a variety of ways, but received a financial blow as Yamhill and Washington counties cut or reduced their contracts as part of broader cost-cutting initiatives.

   Northside Community Church met its goal of raising $13,000 with its Christmas offering, but perhaps more importantly it empowered its congregants to directly help the less fortunate through a new gift-card program.
