Classic car gets away from driver, crashes

   A malfunction in a classic car may have been to blame for a three-car crash this week in the parking lot of a local credit union.   The Newberg-Dundee Police Department reported that a 1948 Chevrolet Club Roaster was in the drive-through lane at Rivermark Credit Union at 9:44 a.

Traffic fatalities over Super Bowl weekend up from last year

   Oregon State Police have reported that three people were killed in two separate traffic crashes over Super Bowl weekend. OSP troopers also reported 38 arrests for driving under the influence of intoxicants, which is down from last year’s number of 59 DUII arrests.

Newberg man injured after fleeing police in Missouri

   SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — A Newberg man was seriously injured and subsequently arrested last week after he drove off a roadway in an alleged attempt to flee Missouri State Highway Patrol officers and crashed his vehicle in the process.

Fire guts St. Paul home Thursday
