Locals receive education honors
   - Jane Wilson of Newberg was named to the dean's list at Grove City College in Grove City, Pa.
   - Collin Roholt Roholt of Newberg, Karen Annette Tautfest of Dundee, and Connie Marie Gale of St. Paul have been honored with Washington State University president's honor roll.
   - Russ Ramsay McDonald of Newberg received a master of science this spring from Kansas State University.
   Receive a free sports physical
   Providence Medical Center will offer free sports physicals from 6 to 9 p.m. July 31.
   A sports physical is required in order to participate in interscholastic sports activities for grades 7-12. The sports physical must be completed before the first day of practice and is valid for two years. Participants are encouraged to wear a loose T-shirt and shorts.
   A guardian must be present and sign an authorization form for children under age 15. For more information call 503-574-6595. No appointment is necessary.
   College Scholarships are available
   The Yamhill County Farm Bureau will award two $1,500 college scholarships to full-time students who have completed at least one year of college study towards a degree in a field related to agriculture.
   Students must be graduates of a Yamhill County high school and must have maintained at least a 2.5 GPA during their time in college. Applications must be received by Aug. 1.
