Hagan Hamilton Insurance Services has acquired Insurance Exchange of Newberg. The purchase became official May 1, Hagan Hamilton CEO Rick John said.
Former Insurance Exchange owner Bern Coleman and employee Sarah Sayre will continue to serve their clients from Hagan Hamilton's Newberg office. Bern's wife, Janice Coleman, will retire.
"Hagan Hamilton is locally owned and independent and will provide the type of outstanding service our clients are accustomed to," Coleman said of the sale. "The transition for our clients will be seamless. They'll be able to maintain their same policies with their same insurance companies."
Bern Coleman purchased Insurance Exchange in June 1983. The company's portfolio of insurance providers will be added to those already represented by Hagan Hamilton, John announced.
"By having Bern and Sarah of Insurance Exchange join our staff, we are building a stronger agency with more choices for customers," he said. "We have a terrific staff in Newberg and their expertise will provide additional support for Insurance Exchange clients."
Headquartered in McMinnville, Hagan Hamilton offers life, auto, home, health, business or long-term care insurance.
