Hess Hank and Mary Hess of Tigard (formerly of Sherwood) will celebrate Saturday their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Nov. 29, 1958, in St. Matthew Catholic Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Hank, a retired dental lab technician, owned a dental laboratory in Newberg before working for the Newberg School District as a custodian. Mary retired from nursing after working for doctors in Newberg and Tigard. The couple also co-owned Garden Eatery in Newberg. The couple's daughters and their husbands include Linda and Tom Vondrachek of Newberg; Karen and Chris Jacobsen of Meridian, Idaho; Joan and Emil Riemer of Brush Prairie, Wash.; Susan and Tim Gray, of Nampa, Idaho. The couple's grandchildren are Michael, Lindsay and Kyle Vondrachek; Ali and Grant Jacobsen; Andrea and Max Riemer; Logan and Ryan Gray. |
